Sustainable Papers
All our papers are sourced from suppliers who are FSC certified and comply with our Code of Conduct. We can offer you Paper-based release liners containing recycled or renewable fibres
Sustainable Coatings
We can offer poly coated product solutions with enhanced sustainability profile by using recycled or renewable resins
Sustainable Films
We have extensive materials science and processing expertise with recyclable, renewable and biodegradable film constructions, ISCC PLUS certified plastics, and films with varying percentages of recycled material

We work closely with industry and research partners and initiatives to pursue new avenues for enhancing sustainability and developing best practices
CELAB
- Founding member of CELAB: Toward a Circular Economy for Labels
- Established in 2020, this global alliance promotes matrix and release liner recycling across the entire self-adhesive label value chain
Circular Plastics Alliance
- Signatory to the European Commission’s Circular Plastics Alliance
- Launched in 2019, the Alliance aims to boost the EU market for recycled plastics to 10 million tons by 2025
- The Alliance currently encompasses more than 175 organizations from across the plastics value chain
IK e.V.
- Founding member of Industrieverband Kunststoff (IK), Europe‘s largest association for plastic packaging producers
- IK members collaborate on a variety of sustainability initiatives covering energy usage, CO2 emissions, circularity, and microplastic pollution
Afera
- Contributor to the Afera Flagship Sustainability Project (AFSP)
- AFSP drives advocacy and development for sustainable practices and policies in the European tapes industry
MiPAq Project
Loparex is a contributor to the University of Munich’s “Microparticles in the Aquatic Environment and in Foodstuffs“ (MiPAq) project, which examines impacts and mitigation of microplastic in the environment
The beworm Project
Loparex is working with start-up beworm and its partners at the Technical University of Munich to explore innovative biotic recycling options for plastics such as polyethylene
Certifications
We are continuously expanding the sustainability certifications of our sites
FSC
- FSC® Chain of Custody (CoC) certification traces paper end products throughout a supply chain, ensuring rigorous standards are maintained
- At present, all US production sites and both Silvassa and Guangzhou are FSC certified
- Loparex intends to obtain certification for all manufacturing locations handling paper materials by the end of 2023
ISCC
- ISCC, the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification, is a leading global standard for sustainable supply
chains - Loparex Germany obtained ISCC PLUS certification in 2021
- Loparex intends to have ISCC PLUS certification in place at its film production operations in Hammond and Malvern by 2025
Ecovadis
- EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings
- To date, four sites have completed the certification process: Forchheim, Silvassa, Guangzhou, and Eden
- Loparex is targeting EcoVadis certification for all eight of its manufacturing sites to be completed by the end of 2023
Sedex
- Sedex is one of the world’s leading ethical trade service providers, with a network of over 65,000 members in 180 countries and 35 industries
- Loparex maintains Sedex certification at its Silvassa, Guangzhou, Malvern, and Forchheim plants
